OWNING IT: Meet + Greet

Talk with artists of the OWNING IT: Engendering Consciousness exhibition at a reception on Monday, March 14 at 5 pm, on the second floor of Love Library South. During the month of March, OWNING IT: Engendering Consciousness will be on display in Love Library South, second floor. The exhibit is curated by members of the UNL Social Practice Coalition in conjunction with Women’s Week at UNL. This exhibition challenges mainstream notions of power and ownership with feminist alternatives for conscious empowerment. With a focus on ordinary acts of self-will, passivity, resistance and what happens in-between, OWNING IT is a reaction to binary systems which require the marginalization of many for the benefit of a few.

How do they communicate?  Find out the answers to all these questions in the SciPop talk presented by Ramesh Laugani, of Doane College, on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Adele Hall Learning Commons (formerly Love Library North 1st Floor), at 13th and R Streets in Lincoln, NE.
