JOB SUMMARY: Learning Commons Assistant IV (LAIV)
helps maintain a welcoming, comfortable and safe environment in the Commons;
helps users with basic information, research, technology, and circulation
requests; helps maintain records, library materials, and equipment during
overnight hours. Starts at $10.00/hour working Sunday through Saturday—1:00
AM-8:00 AM and an average 7-14 hours weekly.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o
required: enrolled for a least one credit hour
at UNL the current semester
o
Interpersonal and communications skills
o
Basic computer skills
o
Dependability
o
Ability to work without direct supervision or
backup present
Located in
the middle of campus in Love Library North, the Learning Commons opens on
January 11 and comes equipped with group study rooms, a coffee shop, a
double-sided fireplace, and a variety of study areas.
