New Science Librarian started December 2, 2013

  Andrea L. Dinkelman joined the University Libraries on December 2, 2013 as Associate Professor and Science Librarian.  She received her M.S. from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 2003, Doctor of Pharmacy in 1991 from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and a B.S. in Biology in 1984 from Nebraska Wesleyan University.


Previous to her joining the faculty at UNL, Dinkelman was a member of the faculty at the Iowa State University Library from 2003 to November 2013. She provided reference, instruction and collection development support for several science departments including the Departments of Animal Science; Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology; Genetics, Development and Cell Biology; and the College of Veterinary Medicine. Dinkelman has published research in several journals including the Journal of Veterinary Medical Education; Issues in Science & Technology Librarianship; and the Journal of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Education.

Dinkelman will serve as the liaison to the Food Science and Technology Department and the School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and will work with faculty in those areas to support research by providing instruction and reference services. Dinkelman looks forward to meeting and working with faculty in her liaison areas and to assist with course related instruction.
