In Depth Reference USA Training



Learn about the entrepreneurship applications, career services applications, and mapping applications that is provided in the online resource: ReferenceUSA .  The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is sponsoring a series of in-depth training sessions that address each application on Sept. 18, 25, and Oct. 2.  Dave Campbell and Rick White from Infogroup will be the presenters         

Entrepreneurship Applications of ReferenceUSA, Thursday, September 18, 3:00 pm in Room 111 Love Library.  Tap the vast business database and information about 15 million businesses and over 260 million consumers.

Career Services Applications of ReferenceUSA, Thursday, September 25, 3:00 pm in Room 110 Love Library.  An ideal resource for campus career centers--whether it’s a student looking for their first job or a staff member trying to plan a career fair, ReferenceUSA contains valuable contact information and executive names & titles to about 15 million businesses. Users can narrow down businesses by industry, geography, business size and a number of other variables to create the perfect custom list

Mapping Applications (aka: “Map-lications”) of ReferenceUSA, Thursday, October 2, 3:00 pm in Room 111 Love Library.  Harness the same accurate, geo-coded data found in Google Maps and the majority of GPS systems. The actual latitude and longitude coordinates are available for download directly from the product and can be exported into ESRI and other mapping platforms with ease.
